Tips for Preparing for a Job Interview

1. Prepare a portfolio with personal job-related information.

2. Review the job advertisement and statement of duties (if provided). These can often be the basis for the interview questions that will be asked.

3. Research the industry and the organisation. The website will tell you about its corporate profile and strategy.

4. Think about what you want to include in your answers.

5. Prepare questions you want to ask the interviewer.

6. Know how to pronounce the interviewers‘ names.

7. Know the exact place and time of the interview and the correct
pronunciation and name/s of the interviewer/s.

8. Visit the interview location a day or so before your interview, to check out any potential delays in getting there and adjust you timetable for your interview day.

9. Be on time.
