　　Dear George,

　　How are you? I havent seen you for a while. Hope all is well. Im writing because Im inviting some friends over for dinner to celebrate my birthday and I thought youd like to join us.

　　The dinner will be at my place, next Friday at 7 oclock p.m. I will do the cooking and provide the beer and wine. Im sure you will be pleased to learn that I will be cooking Sichuan food. Ive included a map of how to get to my new apartment. Its a little out of the way, Im afraid, but Ive got a spare room and youre welcome to stay the night if you wish.

　　Anyway, do let me know if you can make it. My new number is at the top of the page, so you can give me a call at any time. Take care and see you soon.
